Who Are We?

Cardiff University Rugby Club is the biggest sporting club at Cardiff University, this year we have in excess of 600 rugby playing members, the largest senior rugby club membership in Wales. We provide rugby opportunities for all.

We have a full time Head of Rugby, We run a comprehensive professional rugby programme details of which can viewed at our new Website: http://www.cardiffunirfc.co.uk . We play in the Welsh Varsity Match; the biggest student sporting event in Wales, in front of crowds in excess of 10, 000, CURFC are the current Welsh Varsity Cup Holders.

We play in the BUSA Premier League, the highest tier of University Rugby in the UK. Finalists at the 2005/06/07/08 Hong Kong 10’s; www.hongkong10s.com

What do we do?

We provide a clear development programme for students from participation based Level to age grade and senior international representatives. We currently have 19 age grade internationals from U19 to U21 and 20 Regional and Premiership level players studying at the University. This year we have an intake of 450 senior rugby playing students the largest senior based membership in the Principality. We place relevant level players in the Welsh Premiership and at Regional Academies and have partnerships with Cardiff RFC and Bedwas RFC.

International Debentures:

- 8 x Tier 1 debenture tickets (tickets purchased at face Value) for all Wales home matches including the 6 nations’ games and autumn series internationals, there may also be opportunities to obtain debenture tickets for all away fixtures and future concerts and additional sporting events. (FAW games – FA Cup – Pop Concerts) etc. Additional opportunities to purchase tickets may be available to our title sponsors at face value.

The Welsh Varsity Match:

- 10 x VIP Guests at The Welsh Varsity Match; Pre and post match buffet in the Cardiff Arms Park or the Liberty Stadium hospitality suites.

Clothing:

- Company name and logo on all University training and playing kit (1ST XV, 2ND XV, 3RD XV and Freshers XV. The Cardiff University 1ST XV will be selected from the Cardiff University High Performance Group, the 1ST XV compete in the BUSA Premier League on a national level. Your company’s name and Logo would receive national exposure to the ever expanding student market. Regular Opposition: Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Hartbury, UWIC, Worcester and Loughborough Universities. We will also play the Army and Cardiff Blues Regional Academy this season.

Press:

- Association with our newspaper sports section. Gair Rhydd is our weekly newspaper with an estimated readership of 25,000 and is the current National University newspaper of the year. One quarter page mono advert in every issue throughout the year, in the last quarter of the paper. The Head of Rugby and a player of your choice will be available to attend any press conferences or PR opportunities on the sponsor’s behalf.

- Dedicated website Company links on the CURFC, Cardiff University website (Performance sport sub page) and the Students Union website Cardiffstudents.com (Rugby Club sub page). In excess of 100,000 hits a month.

Sponsors VIP Guests at Cardiff University Rugby Club Dinner:

Every year the Rugby Club hold a dinner at the Millennium stadium, previous guests; Warren Gatland, Ieuan Evans, Gerald Davies, Gareth Davies and Max Boyce. VIP guest with a table for 10 at this prestigious event.

Banners:

Company banners or hoardings displayed at the requested University sites: Park place sports facilities, Talybont sports centre, Llanrumney playing fields and the Athletic Union. (Banners to be supplied by Sponsor).

Associations History:

A Photographic and DVD record of your companies association with the University throughout the season, including a framed rugby shirt with your company’s logo.

Opportunities to join our Former players Association network Group and FPA functions; Golf Day, annual Dinners, Six nations Hospitality.
