Cardiff University delivers a comprehensive rugby programme providing players with the opportunity to develop their rugby talent while studying for their degree. Rugby is a focus sport at Cardiff University with a dedicated member of staff responsible for the management and delivery of the complete rugby programme.

This role is undertaken by Martyn Fowler who is employed by Sport and Exercise and the Students' Union as Head of Rugby and is responsible for the development of Rugby at Cardiff University.

The Men's team currently run four teams that compete in the BUC's Leagues, The Flagship of the Club is the 1ST XV who compete in the BUCS Premier South League.

 

 

 

Playing Eligibility:

Enrollment for sports club membership at Cardiff University takes place annually. Any student registered at Cardiff University is eligible to join a Cardiff University Sports Club. Membership of a Cardiff University Medics Sports Club is restricted to those students taking a course within a medical academic school. For further information please contact the Athletic Union.
